About:

Felix Sladen-Jewell is a composer based in London and Winchester, currently pursuing his undergraduate degree at the Royal College of Music London with Dr Haris Kittos. He is a capable clarinettist and guitarist, offering lessons in composition, music theory, clarinet and guitar.

Felix first fell in love with music at school, where he learnt the clarinet, guitar and piano. His composition journey began soon after, when he started to write pieces for his friends to play.

In 2023, Felix became a Martin Read Foundation Awarded Composer. This scheme provided him with his first composition lessons with Dr Alison Willis, and his first professional performance of his piece “A New Twilight,” by the remarkable Joseph Spooner. Felix then went on to attend the 2023 Sound and Music Composition Summer School, where he wrote his piece “Accentus.”

Felix is currently studying at the Royal College of Music in London, where he is studying composition under Dr Haris Kittos, exploring the worlds of both acoustic and electronic music.
